Most job seekers do not know that the growth in energy exploration and  environmental regulations will create a large number of well-paying environmental science jobs over the next decade. Now I know this fact is not popular in political circles but it is true.

Changes in environmental laws, like the Clean Water Act (CWA), may cause  companies and governments to commission environmental impact studies and/or apply for new permits for plants expansions, pipeline projects, changes waste water treatment and other major construction projects.

Environmental scientists collect  and data; performed laboratory analyses and produce reports which tell companies and governments if they are compliance with environmental regulations or have cleaned up contamination. Some of the jobs require a lot of time outdoors in differing terrain and weather conditions.
