Hinton Human Capital, an emerging leader in executive search in Environmental and Infrastructure industries is now searching for a Geotechnical Engineer focused on geostructural design, foundation geotechnical engineering, and/or geological engineering for a national engineering consulting firm. Ideal candidate will have at least 5- 10 years of demonstrated experience in engineering consulting plus the following skills and abilities:

• Ability to support of excavation (SOE) design, specialty foundation design, and traditional geotechnical engineering.
• Demonstrate solid design capabilities and familiarity with software such as Plaxis, Slope/W, Seep/W, Sigma/W, MathCAD, AutoCAD and Excel.
• Assist other teams with the preparation of proposals and presentations.
• Plan, organize, conduct and supervise field geotechnical explorations and observations, including test borings, test pits, instrument installation, and soil, rock and groundwater sampling.
• Manage construction inspection services for the design and construction of buildings, bridges, retaining walls, dams, shoreline structures, and landfills.
• Review, interpret and report field and laboratory test results and engineering data. Typically can include analysis of slope stability, seepage, deformation, pile capacity, wave equation, consolidation, and other geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering applications.
• Compile, write and prepare engineering reports that summarize data in a technically sound, clear and concise manner.

REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering
M.S. with emphasis in Geotechnical or Foundation Engineering preferred
EIT or PE License in State of Maryland
