There has quite a bit of interest in the Alabama Tornado Recovery effort. Churches, construction companies, federal, local and state government agencies and numerous volunteers have already started removing debris and planning the reconstruction of the affected areas. Eventually there will be more work to do than local people to do it so outside help will be needed. Here is short list of skills that disaster recovery companies will be seeking in the coming months:
- Heavy equipment operators
- Truck Drivers
- Construction Estimators
- People with Hazardous and solid waste handling experience
- Craft workers (framers, carpenters and painters)
- Electricians and Plumbers
As of today, the state of Alabama has over 250 jobs posted on its website. More postings are expected in the coming weeks and months. Their hope is that these jobs will be filled by unemployed Alabama residents first. When these job open up to all comers Hinton Human Capital will provide links to those who are interested.

Tornado recovery jobs start to open up with construction companies getting rid of waste and rebuilding.
